Our lead time as of March 20, 2020 is around 2-3 weeks for all over quilting. This time frame is
flexible and greatly depends on how many quilts I've taken in recently.
Quilting Fees
I offer computerized edge to edge and custom freehand quilting services. All quilting is done on
my INNOVA longarm machine.
Edge to Edge
Computerized Edge to Edge quilting: $0.0175 per square inch.
Custom - We do not offer at the moment but expect to in the near future.
Quilts smaller than 3,600 square inches (60″ x 60″) will be charged at an hourly rate of $30 per
hour
A $60 minimum applies to all quilts. This covers 2 hours of quilting time.
Batting options:
- Cotton
- 80/20 Cotton/Polyester Blend
- Wool
- Other options available upon request
You are welcome to provide your own batting. Please remember batting must be at least 4″
bigger than the quilt top on all sides.
There is a standard $10 thread fee per quilt.
Potential/optional additional costs
Occasionally, people ask us to assemble backs, fix borders or apply binding. These are services
that I can perform for a fee. Please note that all of these services are optional.
Backing assembly is $10 for a simple assembly (less than 30 minutes) and $25 an hour for
complex back assemblies (greater than 30 minutes).
Quilt preparation (fixing borders, pressing seams, trimming excessive threads) is $25 an hour
with a minimum 1 hour charge.
Binding is $.40 per linear inch, plus the cost of fabric.
Quilts are not trimmed unless customer requests this service. This service is $10.00.
Shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. For US customers, I ship via FedEX
with tracking information provided. Insurance is not required but highly recommended.
A few important things to remember:
Press the quilt top and backing
Trim all loose threads from the quilt top
Backing MUST be 4″ larger on all 4 sides to accommodate proper loading and clamping
Please contact me before sending quilt tops. I feel it is extremely important to discuss each quilt
before we get started. I want you to be 100% satisfied with your quilt and I think it’s very
important that I know what you expect for your treasured quilt top.
If you are mailing in a quilt, please be sure to include your name, address and PHONENUMBER with your quilt.
